DeepWiki MCP
DeepWiki MCP connects your flow to DeepWiki’s MCP server, a service that generates documentation, architecture diagrams and links to the source code of code repositories so you can quickly understand a project you don’t know.
When you add the component, NappAI connects to the server and loads its tools into the Tool field. You pick one and can use it in two ways: as a step in the flow, filling in its data yourself, or as a tool for an agent, which decides when to use it.
When to use it
- Your team is about to integrate an open-source library and wants to understand how it is organised.
- You want an agent to answer questions about a code repository without anyone having to read all of it.
- You are preparing a technical report and need a summary of a project’s structure.
Configuration
No credential is needed.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Tool (required) | The DeepWiki server tool you want to use. The list comes from the server itself. When you pick one, the data that tool needs appears below, for example the repository you want to query. |
When the component is used as an agent tool, the agent can fill in that data for you. More on this in Tools.
Output
- Data: the text returned by the chosen tool.
- Tool: the tool ready for an agent. Connect it to the agent’s Tools input.
Example
A development team wants an assistant that answers questions about an open-source library it has just adopted.
- Add DeepWiki MCP and, in Tool, pick the tool for asking questions about a repository.
- Write the library’s repository in its field and let the agent fill in the question.
- Connect the Tool output to the agent’s Tools input.
- A developer asks “Where is authentication handled in this library?” and the agent answers with what DeepWiki returns.
Good practices
- If you want the agent to use several DeepWiki tools, add one component per tool.
- If the Tool list is empty, NappAI could not connect to the server; try again later.
