Supertonic TTS

Supertonic TTS reads out the text you give it and returns a WAV audio file. It offers ten voices that speak all 31 available languages and, if you don’t set the language, it reads each sentence in the language it is written in. It doesn’t need a credential.

In Spanish, it reads amounts, times, dates and phone numbers correctly.

When to use it

  • Send your customers a voice note summarising their order, with amounts and dates read naturally.
  • Produce announcements in several languages from the same flow.
  • Turn an agent’s answer into audio for a messaging channel.
  • Let an agent answer with audio, using the component as a tool.

Configuration

FieldWhat it does
Text to SpeechThe text to read out. You can type it or connect it from another component.
VoiceThe voice. Default: F2. F1 to F5 are female voices and M1 to M5 male. Every voice speaks every language.
LanguageThe language. Default: Auto — detect from the text: each sentence is read in the language it is written in. Pick one to force it, for example when the text is too short to tell.

Advanced options

FieldWhat it does
QualityThe audio quality, from 2 steps to 12 steps. More steps sound cleaner but take longer; below 4 some words can slur. Default: 5 steps. Three values have a name: 4 steps — Fast, 6 steps — Balanced and 8 steps — High quality.
SpeedThe reading speed, from 0.5 to 2. Default: 0.95, slightly calmer than the voice’s natural pace (1).

Output

The Data output returns a WAV audio file with the text read out. Its name is the first ten characters of the text.

Connect it to a component that stores or sends files. An agent can also use the component as a tool to create audio when it needs to; see what Tool Mode is in Key concepts.

Example

When a booking is confirmed, your flow writes a message such as “Su mesa para 4 personas está reservada el 12 de marzo a las 21:30”. You connect it to Text to Speech, choose the voice M2 and leave Language on automatic. The resulting audio reads the date and time the way a person would, and the flow sends it to the customer.
