Video and Audio Loader

Video and Audio Loader brings a video or audio file into the flow. You upload the file in the component and its content passes to the next step of the flow, as it is, for another component to process.

When to use it

  • Test a flow that works with audio or video, always using the same sample recording.
  • Give a flow a specific recording, such as the audio of a meeting or a training video.

Configuration

PathThe file you want to load. Supported audio formats: aac, mp3, wav, m4a, flac and wma. Supported video formats: mp4, avi and mov.

Advanced options

FieldWhat it does
Silent ErrorsMeant to keep a file that cannot be read from stopping the flow. In the current version it has no effect: if the file cannot be read or its format is not supported, the flow stops with an error.

Output

Output delivers the file’s content untransformed. For wav files, it delivers only the sound, without the file header.

Example

A team wants to test a flow that processes call recordings before connecting it to its phone system.

  1. Add Video and Audio Loader and upload a sample mp3 recording in Path.
  2. Connect Output to the component that processes the recording.
  3. Run the flow and check the result. Once it works, replace the loader with the real recordings input.

Good practices

  • Check that the file format is in the supported list before uploading it.
  • Use this component for fixed or test files. If files come from outside the flow, receive them with the matching input component.
