Power BI
Power BI is the component for connecting your flow to Microsoft Power BI: looking up workspaces, reports and datasets, refreshing a dataset and generating the token to embed a report.
When to use it
For now it cannot work with real Power BI data. For Microsoft 365 data you can already read and write, use Excel.
Configuration
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Operation (required) | What the component does. See Operations. |
| Group ID | The ID of the workspace where the report or dataset is. |
| Report ID (required) | The report’s ID. |
| Dataset ID (required) | The dataset’s ID. |
| Access Level (required) | The permission of the embed token: View (default) or Edit. |
Operations
| Operation | What it is meant for |
|---|---|
List Workspaces | Listing workspaces. |
List Reports | Listing reports in all workspaces or in one. |
Get Report | Looking up a report’s details. |
List Datasets | Listing datasets in all workspaces or in one. |
Refresh Dataset | Starting a dataset refresh. |
Generate Embed Token | Generating the token to embed a report. Needs Group ID and Report ID. |
Output
The Data output returns one item per workspace, report or dataset in the list operations; the report in Get Report; the request accepted in Refresh Dataset; and the token, its id and its expiry in Generate Embed Token. If something fails, it returns the error and the operation.
