List Users
List Users returns the users of your Notion workspace: people and bots (integrations), with their name and ID.
It is useful when a flow has to assign a task to someone in Notion or mention a person, because Notion asks for the user’s ID for that, not their name.
When to use it
- You want to automatically assign an owner to the pages a flow creates.
- You need a person’s ID to fill in a person-type property.
- You want to review who belongs to your Notion workspace.
Configuration
You need a Notion API credential with your Notion integration’s token. See Credentials.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Credential (required) | The Notion API credential used to access your Notion workspace. |
There are no other fields: the component always returns the workspace’s list of users.
Output
The Data output returns one item per user, with their ID, their type (person for people and bot for integrations), their name and the link to their profile picture.
The component can also be connected to an Agent as a tool, so the agent looks up users when it needs to. See Tool Mode.
Example
A project team wants every new task in Notion to arrive already assigned.
- Add List Users and check its output to find each team member’s ID.
- In Create Page, use that ID in the task’s person-type property.
Good practices
- User IDs do not change: if you always assign the same people, you can look them up once and reuse them.
